VI Professional Conference "Protection of Intellectual Property: Practice in alcohol, tobacco and food industries"

Market of manufacture of alcohol beverages becomes closer and closer, its entrance ticket costs more expensive, and competition is so high, that players sitting at the same table are eating each other from plates. Ironically, but tools as well as desired prices in this competition fight becomes objects of intellectual property – trademarks and industrial designs. Despite the different ways the legal protection of intellectual property, human ingenuity and imagination is immense, not only in their positive aspects, and as a result we are faced with increasingly complex structures of offenses - from abusive registrations, up to the whole scheme of blocking the work of a competitor.

Urgency of the Conference subject in this conditions is clear – to find the best ways to break the stalemate, to identify the most problem moments of law enforcement.

On the given Conference that already became traditional, is scheduled to discuss the following questions:

• Protection from unfair registration of trademarks for goods, services and industrial designs;
• Practice of invalidation of certificates and patents received unfairly;
• Recognition of trademarks for goods well-known;
• Judicial practice of disputes consideration in this sphere;
• Practice of Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine on protection of market participants from unfair competition;

The subject of the Conference is urgent for representatives of alcohol, tobacco, food, particularly confectionary industry, representatives of legal companies, lawyers, and patent attorneys.

For participation invited representatives of State Department of intellectual property, judicial experts, and judges.

• And also representatives of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, the Customs authorities, leading Ukrainian and international legal, accounting, production companies, experts in sphere of intellectual property rights protection.
